Principal's Message

Welcome to Pinewood Early Education Center! I am thrilled to serve as your principal and to be part of a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing young learners. At Pinewood EEC, we are committed to providing a safe, secure, nurturing environment that is academically stimulating and respectful of all cultures and languages spoken.

 

Pinewood EEC has a strong connection with all interest holders. Parents, staff, and students work together in trust and partnership. Through open communication and genuine collaboration, we create the supportive environment that students need to flourish academically and socially-emotionally, so they are prepared to lead with intellect, character, and heart. Behind it all is a strong vision and a commitment to excellence that drives every initiative and decision.

 

Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to foster curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional development. We believe that every child is unique and possesses incredible potential, and we strive to help them develop the skills they need for a successful future and to be ready for the world!

 

We launched our Armenian dual language program during the 2023-2024 academic year. This exciting initiative follows a 50/50 model, where students engage in learning with half of the day conducted in Armenian and the other half in English. We believe this program will enrich our students' cultural identity and bilingual abilities, preparing them for a diverse and interconnected world.

 

Our school mascot and spirit are the Wise Owls. We are very proud of this symbol because it encompasses the immense knowledge gained during the first five years of a child's education. Owls symbolize wisdom and knowledge, reminding us of the importance of lifelong learning and curiosity. Did you know that by age five, approximately 90% of a child's brain has already developed? This critical period emphasizes the importance of providing rich, engaging, and nurturing experiences during these formative years.
